Volunteer Spotlight
Lisa Daris

We have so many great volunteers who go the extra mile that it is hard to pick just a handful a year for special mention.

Lisa is a fairly new member who jumped in with both feet. Two years after joining COP she is on the Board as a co-Activity Leader for Boating. She has been working hard to find new ways to promote COP and improve our financial situation.

In addition to working for the boating program, she has worked on committees to bring us a better mission statement (the old one was quite a handful to say), improve our website experience, and explore structure possibilities.

Despite many roadblocks, she managed to bring back boat rental for Red, White and Boom this year. In attempt to maximize income potential, she set it up as an auction, rather than a set amount per seat. Next year this should go off much better and smoother.

Thanks for stepping up Lisa.

You Go Girl!

From Desk of the President

We are approaching the end of the summer and the kids will be back in school before you know it.

We have seen our ups and downs for the past few years.

On the upside, GOBA went very well. There are bikes on the road, boats in the water and we can easily fill more kayak classes than we can teach.   more...
