Climb high with Columbus Outdoor Pursuits!
COP has its own Climbing Wall located in Licking County, just outside Granville, Ohio, where we hold weekly Wall Sessions year round. These sessions are a place to practice or learn in an open and social atmosphere. We welcome both beginning and experienced climbers of all ages. We will gladly instruct any first-timers. And of course, the climbing wall will challenge any seasoned climber.
Wall Sessions are typically held every Wednesday night, from 7pm to 9pm. The cost is $7 per session. All equipment, including shoes and harnesses, is available at no extra charge. We also offer an annual pass to COP members for $175.
We take many weekend trips to nearby climbing areas like the New River Gorge and Seneca Rocks in West Virginia and Red River Gorge in Kentucky. We have also recently taken trips out west to places such as Red Rock Canyon in Nevada and the Black Hills in South Dakota, though these trips are typically not advertised through COP as we prefer to get to know a climbers ability beforehand. We do plan to advertise a few beginner outdoor climbing trips during the year for those wanting to venture outside.
