Bicycle Route Maps!

The Central Ohio Bicycle Route Guide is ready!  This is an outstanding opportunity for cyclists to get a professionally designed map of the local area, specifically intended for bicyclists.  You'll want to use this whenever you are designing a new route, making a map for a trip you are leading, or just exploring.

Several years ago Columbus Council AYH and ODOT published a big multipart state bicycling map. This map is out of print (and out of date), but lots of people would still like to get a set.  Thus COP (with the help of Ed Honton and friends from The Ohio to Erie Trail Fund) has produced a new map covering the central Ohio area.  Bicycle-friendly roads are marked approximately every 6 miles, and the map shows all significant trails.

The map set covers roughly a 50 mile radius around Columbus - 60 miles north and south and 50 miles east and west from the center of Columbus using a scale of 1 inch equals 1.5 miles.  Additionally, the Columbus area inside the I-270 outer belt is laid out on two panels at a scale of 1 inch equals 0.75 mile.  Each of the 18 (two maps per side) 18 by 24 inch panels is printed on matte finish clay-coated paper.

As with many of our other activities, the map sets are available to members at a discounted price.
