Have You Noticed?

Have you noticed an increase in the caving activity? Yes, the COP caving program is a live and well. I have scheduled several beginning classes including one is September with a beginner's cave trip. The board authorized the purchase of some new caving equipment including helmets, lights and packs. Equipment is available to rent for a small fee. Thanks to our volunteer leaders, we have had several trips to Kentucky on our 2002 schedule. We have two weekend trips planned for West Virginia. Both will include car camping a short drive from the caves. Most COP trips are geared for the beginner, but those with more experience will also get to share the camaraderie felt by cavers enjoying a common experience. Besides, where else can you go to beat the winter cold or the summer's heat at 56 degrees?
