So this is my last EddyLines. I'll be retiring as Boating Chair at the end of this month after six years at the helm. It's been an interesting job - both frazzling and fulfilling. Along the way I've made a bunch of friends and seen beginner boaters blossom.
The boating program has blossomed only because we have capable volunteers who consistently make our boating classes, trips, pool sessions and other functions flourish. I appreciate all the volunteer support and hope that everyone will continue to support the boating program with their efforts and talent as Walt Taylor takes over as chair and works to maintain the program and make it better for our members.
I'll still be involved with the sea kayak portion of our program as well as mentoring Walter and running the boater email function. Hopefully I'll now have more time to paddle - and read, garden, etc.
