Time to take a Hike!
A price hike, that is. For the first time in 14 years, the COP Executive Board gave a collective sigh and voted to increase membership fees. This fee increase will help cover postage, printing, arrow paint, rent, insurance, etc. The sad fact is that costs have gone up quite a bit since September '89. We've put off increasing fees for a long time, but in February 2003, we decided that it was time for the inevitable. We consulted extensively with both the Ohio Legislature and the Bush Economic Team, but it seems there was NO WAY to balance out increasing prices in the mist of constant or decreasing revenues.

This is a $5 increase for all segments except Family, which has a $10 increase, and Life, which has a $50 increase to reflect the higher "per year" membership fees. For a family of 2 adults, the fee has been $25.00 for a renewal, which was a $15 savings over buying 2 adult memberships. At $35, there is still a substantial savings, and the $35 fee is extremely reasonable for larger families.
