This year we had 218 registered riders for CFC. 194 actually rode. The higher than normal number of no-shows may have been a result of the cool, windy, rainy conditions we had through mid afternoon on the first day. After Mother Nature teased us with some sunshine Saturday afternoon, the riders who finished later were met with torrential downpours, thunder and lightening. Sunday was much better with dry conditions and sunny 70 degree temperatures in the afternoon. There were no serious injuries either day.

Feedback on the new route from Newark to Marietta was generally favorable. Some riders appreciated the flat sections along the river on Sunday after the more challenging conditions on Saturday. Others expressed a desire for more climbing on both days.
