Cycling - Rides and Tours

Helmets are required on all rides and tours!

Full service tours offer snacks and lunch, as well as SAG support, and the option of pre-registration for a reduced price.  Multi-day tours require pre-registration.

Saturday, August 7th,   Flat to rolling.  30-100 miles.

Buckeye Grove Shopping Ctr, Hoover Rd & Route 665. 23rd Ridge Runner Ramble - Budget tour

Saturday, August 14th, 31, 52, 85, or 100 miles.

New Albany Elementary School, 87 N. High Street, New Albany.  Roads will be marked, maps provided. $2 member, $4 non-member.  Registration is 7-9 a.m.  Short route has three hills; longer routes have many more. 20th Annual Tour of Hocking Hills - Budget tour

Saturday, September 18th,  75-100 miles.

20th  Knox County Bicycle Challenge – Full service tour

Saturday, Sept 25th, 50-100 miles. 

Gambier  Community Center, 115 Meadow Lane across from new Kenyon College athletic facility.  $20. (pre-registration member discount) Roads will be marked. Ride the beautiful hills of Knox County, slow down for buggies. Century route and longer loops are challenging CFC tune-ups.  Lower-cost short route has less hills,  uses Kokosing Gap Trail back to Gambier. 35th Columbus Fall Challenge - Full service tour

Saturday and Sunday, October 2nd and 3rd, 110 miles each day.

Berne Union High School, Sugar Grove, OH.  $45 COP members. $55 non-COP members.  $70 day of ride (limited to first 25 registrants).  Registration is 7-8:30 a.m. Roads will be marked.  CFC is a challenging ride, for the rider who likes steep climbs, swift descents, and breathtaking (if you even have any left) views from the hills of Southeast Ohio.  It is a strenuous, two-day ride covering over 200 miles.  Start & end at Berne Union School, Sugar Grove.  Registration packets, available for pickup from 7-8:30am will contain wristband & detailed map. 25th Fall HOOT - Budget tour

Saturday, October 9thRegistration 8:00-9:30 a.m. 35, 55, or 80 miles.

Bloom Carroll High School, Rt. 33 between Canal Winchester and Lancaster. $2 member, $4 non-member. Take US33 East from Columbus to the stoplight at Carroll, turn left and follow the paw prints to the school.  All routes have some hills,  the number and size increase with distance.  Come enjoy the last budget tour of the season. Saturday, April 10th, 30, 55, or 100 miles.

New location! Westerville Central High School, 7118 Mount Royal Ave, Westerville.  Registration is 7:30-9 a.m. Start is 1/2 mi north of Maxtown Rd on Tussic St in Westerville. Saturday, April 17th, 35 -102 miles.

2010  36th Mid Ohio Century (MOC) - Budget tour

Sunday, April 25th,  35, 65, or 100 miles.

Fairly flat course with a few small hills.  Mingo Shelter Building, Mingo Park, Delaware.  Roads will be marked and maps provided.  $2 member, $4 non-member.  Registration is 7:30-9 a.m. Delaware, Morrow, & Marion Counties.  Alum Creek Reservoir for all 3 routes and Scioto River for 100 mile return route. 2010 Top of Ohio - Budget tour

Sunday, May 2nd,  100, 85, 70, 45, or 25 miles

Start at Hilliard Community Center.  Roads will be marked, maps provided. $2 member, $4 non-member.  Registration is 7-9 a.m.  For TOP 60 loop, start 8-9am in Milford Center (Fairbanks Elementary, located at the east edge of town on Middleburg-Plain City Rd (Co. Rd. 57). Varied terrain.  Century route & TOP 60 route are rolling to hilly & take riders past highest point in Ohio; 45 & 25-mi rts are rather flat.  Roy Burnham, 614-343-3704, roy@burnhamfamily.com

 

2010 49th TOSRV (Tour of the Scioto River Valley) - Full service tour

Saturday, May 8th-Sunday May 9th, 105 miles each day.

Hyatt on Capital Square, Columbus.  Annual, pre-registration tour from Columbus to  Portsmouth for an overnight stay and return the next day. Half tour from Chillicothe.  No entry after April 15.  Registration/info on www.tosrv.org

 

2010 HOOT (Heart Of Ohio Tour) - Budget tour

Saturday, June 5th,  38-100 miles.

Ohio Double Century  - Full service tour

Saturday, June 26th, 200 miles.

Plain City, Ohio (area). $35 COP member, $45 non-members.  Day of ride registration $55.  Registration day of starts at 5:00 a.m. Gather at 5:50 a.m. for mass start at 6:00 a.m. Ride ends at 10:00 p.m. Route consists of 150-155 miles out & back course followed by a loop of 15-17 miles to be repeated a maximum of 3 times. Your miles ridden goal will range from 150 to 200 miles.  You will have 16 hours to do this of which 15 ½ hours will be in light.  Frank Seebode frankseebode@verizon.net

 

22nd Great Ohio Bicycle Adventure (GOBA) - Full service tour

Saturday-Saturday, June 19-26, 2010, Avg. of 50 miles per day.

13th Across Ohio Bicycle Adventure (XOBA) - Full service tour

Registration is closed as of June 28, 2010 8:30 pm

Saturday, July 24th to Saturday, July 31st, Approx. 60 miles per day.

Liverpool to Cincinnati.  This year will be the Ohio River Valley Adventure. Rider Limit: 250.
