Day 6
Sugarcreek to Coshocton
Day 5 <--  ||  --> Day 7

   This morning I kept with tradition and ate breakfast with Neal and the crew from Wooster, in Charm and then sat with Barb and Lou while they ate and we relived the Berlin saga. I was actually waiting for fresh blackberry pie to appear. My bicycle and the roads in Tuscarawas and Coshocton Counties beckoned and I instead gave in to the playground of hills, buggies, llamas, and tree-lined streams until it was time to eat in Roscoe Village. (It’s a rough life.)
    Following Jody’s campfire in Lake Park, Neal, Barbara, the Wooster crew and I forced down blackberry pies from Charm. The pie is in three words, “to die for.” (Thanks to Brad, the sag driver, who did the delivery). That night I had difficulty sleeping in the pavilion and when I finally gave up and moved outside, a skunk was on its, gulp, nightly rounds.
    Word had it that rhubarb pie was to be had at the Workman’s Restaurant in Coshocton. The pie receives three stars out of five but the characters rank a solid five. They all looked like they had stepped out of Norman Rockwell paintings. I followed an octogenarian out of Workman’s in order to photograph him and his single hoop earring.
