The fourth Across Ohio Bicycle Adventure will take place From July 21-28 this summer. It will be a celebration of the progress of the building of the Ohio To Erie Trail, a bike route from Cleveland to Cincinnati. A new route for XOBA, the tour will take us through some familiar territory and into some areas that we have not ridden in before. There will be something for everyone as we take advantage of many existing bike trails and add optional loops for those who want to ride hills or rack up some extra miles.

Our 50-60 mile days will be enjoyable for both the beginning bicycle tourist and the veteran rider. Traveling from Lake Erie in northeast Ohio, we will make our way diagonally across the state, around Columbus and southwest to the Ohio River. Our small group size (135 rider limit) will allow us to take advantage of more intimate local facilities and tips on the best restaurants will keep us fueled in style. XOBA will provide lunch and dinner on the first day and a catered dinner later in the week, you will choose where you want to eat the rest of the week.

Our overnight venues will be High Schools, Middle Schools and YMCAs in our host towns. Maps of the area will be available to find food, tourist and historic attractions. Indoor sleeping and outdoor camping will be available each evening and luggage will be carried on our truck. A SAG will be with us for mechanical emergencies and local bike shops will be utilized for repairs we cannot handle ourselves. Medical emergencies will be handled by calling 911.

The first day of the tour will be spent traveling to our start point. We will meet in Cincinnati at the place where we will leave our vehicles and put our bicycles and luggage on a moving van. Then we will board buses that will take us to the ride start point in Rocky River. A box lunch will be served on the bus. The bus trip will allow you to see old friends and meet new ones, tell tall tales and trade jokes. A short route will be available in the evening for those who wish to enjoy the shore and views of Lake Erie.
